Based on a true story
1945. The world is ravaged by one of the most brutal wars it has ever know. As the country starts to pick up the pieces, the Americans start a program called "training with civilian agencies" in which American GIs train at British Educational institutions during their time in the UK. One such GI was stationed at the Bull Hotel in Cambridge, which for one year only became Bull College, complete with a university boat club.
The Americans integrated well at Cambridge and before long, the GI crosses paths with a spirited young woman studying at Newham College and whilst he persues love; she wants to rebuild a broken world. They become entangled in a bittersweet relationship that will change them for the rest of their lives.
